Keeping an Open Mind

Greetings!

Tonight, I will be making my first trip to the new home of the Oregon Ducks and Eugene Emeralds, PK Park. The PK Park from last year is no more as a newer, more modern, facility has gone up. From what I have seen on the outside and from testimony by other fans here, it sounds like it is a fairly nice venue.

I would be lying to all of you if I said I didn't still have sentiments for the old Civic Stadium. Seeing the Ems play in a new venue entirely will certainly be a difficult sight to adjust to. But, in the past few months, I've become a very open person who is interested in seeing and exploring new concepts, sights, or ideas. PK Park is new, so I plan on keeping an open mind and evaluating the park using the same criteria that I have with every other park I have been to across the country. I guess, for lack of a better term, I will give PK Park the "benefit of the doubt" and let it prove to me that it is a venue that will keep the tradition of baseball alive in the southern Willamette Valley.

Always take on a 3-0 pitch ;)
